There is a particular morning in Sedona when the light has not yet fully decided what it wants to be – subtle, low, slightly misty. This is the feeling I had in my hands as I prepared this piece.
I worked on the bracelet by hand at every inch, hammering it, slowly working with texture, with irregular lines, so that the light falls differently depending on how your wrist turns. The onyx stone was placed last in the centre, set within a delicate surround of beads, before detailing was added to both sides.
Copper has been worn against the skin for a very, very long time, long before anyone began to question why. I make no statements. I just know that the people who started wearing copper continue to wear it, and this has been true for forty years in my workshop.
