Our story
From generation to generation
From a family drawing room in Ireland to the runways of Paris and Milan, and home again to Dublin. This is the story of Margaret, and of the daughter who carries it on.
Where it all began
An old Irish family
Margaret was born into an old Irish family, in a house full of books, music and long conversations by the fire.
Her grandfather was a decorated officer, and her father, barely twenty, proudly followed in his footsteps.
The family photograph was taken in the drawing room just before both men left to fight against the Germans. Margaret sat on her grandfather's knee in her best dress, while her mother stood beside them in pearls and fur, the most elegant woman any of them knew.
Where it all began
A house full of culture
Both men came home, and the house filled again with art, music and Sunday dinners.
Margaret grew up surrounded by culture, good manners and beautiful things made to last.
In the evenings she would sit at the edge of her mother's dressing table and watch her get ready for dinner: the gloves, the pearls, and the shoes, always chosen last and always chosen with care. It was there that she first fell in love with style.
Margaret's story
A life in style
At nineteen, with one small suitcase and her mother's blessing, Margaret left for Paris.
She spent her twenties on the catwalks of Paris and Milan, modelling for the ateliers that defined European elegance. When she stepped off the runway, she opened her own boutiques there: small, beautiful shops where every piece was chosen by hand.
Years later she came home to the Irish countryside. Life slowed down, but her style never did: an old Land Rover, boots that could handle the mud, and the same pearls and quiet confidence she had carried down the runways of Paris.

Eva's story
A mother's eye. A daughter's vision.
Eva grew up between her mother's boutiques. She learned to judge a fabric by touch, to read a silhouette at a glance, and the rule Margaret repeated every single day: real elegance never hurts.
Years later, Eva made Dublin her home and decided it was time to open a boutique of her own. The first person she called was her mother.
Today they choose every style together. Margaret still asks the same question she asked in Paris: would you wear this all day? If the answer is no, it doesn't make it into Eva Dublin.
